2nd November 2013 Windsurfing: Felixstowe-Dip Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: chop Air Temperature: 13 Sea Temperature: 15.4 Weather: sun n cloud Max Speed: 24.6/2secs (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 18.2 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Lots forecast but light when I arrived and Squiz just about planing on 7m. Tried 6m/96 as forecast to quickly increase, but stayed light so 6.9m/115, and after a a few runs overpowered as wind increased then back to 6m/96 but still light until quickly increased so 85/4.7m but wind dies back and hard to get going. Frustrating day until wind strengthened and good hour or so on 85/4.7, some overpowered. Bit of rain came thorugh then cool sailing out into double rainbow and back into golden sunset. Packed up as wind died quickly and all made back ashore just in time. Don't know how little Mark D held onto 5m, and don't think he did either. Was heading for 2* until good last hour.Loads of gear to pack up. |
